Mounded system installed too low — failed in the first wet season

The mound was built to the design height on paper, but the design used an averaged water table number instead of the actual seasonal high for our lot. By late August water was clearly close to the surface and the mound just couldn't keep up.

The original installer was responsive but the fix took a re-permit and a partial rebuild. We ended up paying out of pocket for the soil re-test that should have been done at the start.

Lesson learned: in west Broward, push hard for site-specific water table data before any new mound goes in. It's not the kind of thing you can correct cheaply once it's built.
