Review Guidelines

What makes a useful review

We publish reviews to help other Florida homeowners make better decisions. That only works if reviews carry real information. Here's what we look for, and what we won't post.

What we publish

  • Reviews tied to a specific service (pump, inspection, repair, drainfield, install).
  • Context about the property: age, region, household size, recent history.
  • What you hired the pro to do, what happened, and what you'd do differently.
  • Honest ratings — 5 stars when warranted, 2 stars when warranted.

What we don't publish

  • Anonymous attacks. Use initials at minimum.
  • Reviews of professionals you haven't actually hired.
  • Personal information about contractors' families, employees, or unrelated business matters.
  • Promotional content from contractors themselves or their friends.

How we edit

We lightly edit for clarity, length, and to remove identifying information about minors or private parties. We don't change the substance of a review. If we make a material edit, we'll note it.

If you're a contractor who was reviewed

You're welcome to submit a response that we'll publish alongside the review. We don't remove honest reviews based on contractor request, but we will correct anything factually wrong if you can document it.
